Storyline

Don Verdean Sundance festival Director: Jared Hess Since the sleeper success of 2004's Napoleon Dynamite, Jared and Jerusha Hess have had a stimulating documentation. no matter however their work is received by audiences and critics, they need maintained a medium vogue that's, to mention the smallest amount, unique. Don Verdean (Sam Rockwell) could be a biblical scholar associate degreed archeologist UN agency has designed his career on excavating and protective artifacts from the nice book —the film's gap scene options an antediluvian documentary within which Verdean tracks down the shears that Delilah wont to cut Samson's hair. once his career slows down, he, his Israeli fixer Boaz (Jemaine Clement), and his analysis assistant Carol (Amy Ryan) conform to a contract with Tony Lazarus (Danny McBride) to trace down a lot of artifacts so as to stay his congregation from change of integrity that of Pastor Fontaine (Will Forte), a former disciple turned Christian. As pressures mount, Verdean begins to compromise his standards in pursuit of "filthy lucre," as Boaz puts it. From associate degree acting perspective, the performances ar nice.
